Interestingly, the release date has been revised to 21st of July from the original 7th of the month. We found out that the reboot of the Spiderman franchise will take place on the 7th which will star a new lead character.
Given that the new Spidey had already gained raving responses in his previous Marvel appearance, he has already built the excitement in the audience for his arrival.
Guess in that scenario, it only made sense that Tiger Shroff and team chose to not go head on against a superhero.
A source close to the affair stated “Munna Michael and Spider-Man Homecoming are targeting the same audience segment; the one which hops into a multiplex for some popcorn-crunching action adventure. These are quintessential summer releases and are expected to be a lot of fun.”
But obviously, NOBODY wants to take on Spiderman. History suggests that since the past few years, Hollywood films have beaten Bollywood movies on their own soil. That’s enough of an explanation for postponing the release.
But however, the gutsy Boney Kapoor believes that Spiderman is no threat to Sridevi’s MOM. Hence, he decided to prepone the release to the exact same date as that of Spiderman: Homecoming.
