Sanjay Dutt is making a comeback to the realm of film production after seven long years and that too with the Hindi remake of the south blockbuster Prasathanam, which will have the original title with only a small modification of an additional ‘A’ in the name.
It was also recently announced that Fukrey Returns star Ali Fazal will be seen in the Hindi remake of the cult Telugu film alongside Dutt. The Victoria and Abdul actor will play Dutt’s son in the remake taking on the most pivotal role in the remake.
It’s no secret that our man Ali here has been open about his admiration for Sanjay Dutt right from the beginning of his career in acting. A true fan of the star, Ali was more than happy to be cast in a role much different than ones he has done before, which testifies to his sheer greed of diversity. And, to show just how much he was looking forward to working with the Dutt, Ali reportedly did not as much as even read the script of the film when it was given by the original director, Deva Katta, prior to signing it.
Speaking about the same, a source said, “Ali only met Deva and the team once and he was ecstatic with the role offered to him. He only heard the main gist of the story and his role and was immediately on board”.
Looks like our man Ali here is indeed living his dream now. Many many congratulations, Mr. Fazal!
Speaking of the film, Prasthaanam goes on floors tomorrow on the occasion of Nargis Dutt’s Birthday and will be produced by Sanjay Dutt Productions, marking the Munnabhai actor’s return as a producer. The film in question now also has onboard the critically acclaimed Satyajeet Dubey, who plays the part of Dutt’s hot-blooded son who leads an unhealthy lifestyle.
