Back in 2009, Salman Khan created the record with Wanted when its satellite rights were sold for a whopping 12 crores. Now, the handsome hunk has created another record and beaten Aamir Khan’s Dangal by a huge margin. If you’re wondering what this record is, we are basically talking about the satellite rights of Race 3. According to reports, the television rights of the action-thriller have been sold for a jaw-dropping 150 crores, equivalent of the budget of the entire film.
Earlier, this record was held by Aamir’s sports-drama, which fetched over 75 crores for the same. Well, records are indeed meant to be broken! But the real litmus test of Salman Khan and his family will happen on the 15th of June, when the film hits the cinema halls. Will it be able to surpass the collections of Dangal, which stand at over 386 crores? Given the film is releasing in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D, expect the film to dominate all the multiplexes and single-screens, with ticket prices hitting the roof.
