Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, a film that stars the Jagga Jasoos star Ranbir Kapoor essaying the part of the Baba of B-Town, Sanjay Dutt, has become the talk of the town ever since its release. By now, it must be known to all that prior to the release of the film, the whos-who of the Indian entertainment industry got a chance of attending the screening of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, who were, expectedly, left in total awe of Raju Hirani’s latest creation.
But guess NO reaction could come close to that of the very subject of Raju Hirani’s biographical dramedy, which is Sanjay Dutt.
Wondering what Dutt himself thought of his very own biopic after the screening of the same ended? In an interview recently, the master craftsman of Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani spilled the beans on the same by saying, “Before the screening, I suddenly got frightened. We had shown everything and he (Dutt) never came to the shoot. I was wondering, what will be his reaction? We might get beaten up too. He was sitting in the seat next to mine. He was watching the film and I was stealthily watching his reactions.”
But then, something happened.
While adding to the statement above, Hirani said, “It was only when the film ended that he cried and hugged me and Ranbir,”
Now, that can very well be a sign of the fact that Raju Hirani and the leading man of Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor have done the job right!
