Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who were two of the speakers at this year’s HT Summit, spoke at length about Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment case and if we are slowly and gradually witnessing a #MeToo movement in India. Ranveer spoke first and said, “Harassment of any kind is wrong. If it has happened then it takes a lot of courage to speak publicly about it. You must consider this person. If it has happened then it is absolutely wrong.”
Deepika continued and said, “I feel #MeToo movement is not about gender. It’s about the victory of right over wrong. I think anyone who faces any sort of discrimination or any sort of abuse, we as people must support that person. It’s not about a woman or a man or female vs male. Let’s not complicate or get confused in any manner. It’s never about gender.”
But the bigger question here is- Whether all these statements be enough to ensure the actress is served with Justice?
