Post Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Rajnikanth, and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 (Robot 2) are one of the biggest and most anticipated movies. The film is all set to release in April but looks like even before its release the film is creating box office records.
Apparently, Kerala theatrical rights of 2.0 have been acquired by a leading distribution firm for a whopping Rs 16 Crores. Which is the highest ever paid for a non-Malayalam film. The highest record was created by Baahubali. The rights of the magnum opus film were acquired for Rs 10.5 Crores.
2.0 is one of the biggest releases of this year. The film has been made on a budget of 4oo cores.
The magnum opus project will feature Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar as an evil badass scientist Dr. Richard.
2.0 will mark the debut of Akshay Kumar in the Tamil film industry. The movie also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and Riyaz Khan.
The teaser of the film is expected to be out soon.
