Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta, who had collaborated on multiple films including Omerta, Shahid, Aligarh and Citylights, are all set to join hands again for their next, which will be a comedy. The film will be reportedly co-produced by none other than Ajay Devgn.
On the idea of casting Raj in the film, a source was quoted saying, “After Hansal watched Stree, he was certain that Raj can bring his wit and comic timing to his film. Since the two have predominantly dealt with hard-hitting subjects in their past outings, including Omerta (2018), it will be interesting to see them explore the other end of the spectrum.”
The source further added, “Considering Raj has Made In China and Anurag Basu’s Imali in the pipeline, he will have to reshuffle his dates. If all goes well, he will soon sign on the dotted line.”
Meanwhile, Rajkummar’s latest outing, the horror comedy Stree, opposite Shraddha Kapoor, is doing exceptionally well at box office. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.
