At last, some respite for those who has been wanting to see John Abraham in the avatar of a military man who plays a pivotal role in a fictionalised account of one of the greatest nuclear tests ever performed by the country, titled Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran.
For whoever has been following the Indian entertainment scene for about 3-4 months now, is well aware that a legal battle was being fought between KriArj Entertainment and Abraham’s production house, JA Entertainment. And now, gone Friday, the parties have reached a mutual agreement and have decided to release the film on May 25!
Yes, you read that right! For those who like to take a look at the specifics, Zee Studios remain the co-producers and presenters of the film, which they will distribute via the Vashu Bhagnani-owned Puja Entertainments.
Adding to this, an informer was quoted saying that, “There was no dispute over the Rs 5 crore that KriArj was to pay John and as per the contract terms, it will be cleared upon delivery (of the product),”
The informer apparently concluded by saying that, “Now that things have been sorted on paper legally, they will be implemented as soon as possible, keeping the release date in mind.”
Now, isn’t a truce after a nuclear war always a good thing?
