Very early on in his career, Varun Dhawan has shown his versatility as an actor. The guy, who debuted with a rather intense-ish part in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, ended up emerging as one of those very few who has ever broken the mould so quickly after straight heading into comedies like Main Tera Hero, Dishoom and a Dilwale, and then a bombshell in the form of a Badlapur somewhere in the midst of all this.
And now, he just recently went on a different journey altogether with Shoojit Sircar’s October, a film which one might say is a very off-beat one by Bollywood’s standards.
But, what does Dhawan really think of say a Johar and then a Sircar? Well, hear it from the man himself!
While going on a decoding spree during a recent media interactions for his upcoming film, October, Dhawan Jr. makes a very interesting point as he said that, “They are very different yet excellent in their very own places. Dada (Shoojit) draws a lot from real life, which lot of filmmakers do, but his are incidents your usual filmmakers will not want to make a film on. He (Shoojit) chases that subject only, and he will go on to make something on a subject which others will feel ‘this is not something to make a film on.’ But Shoojit finds the story in that, which is unbelievable. Let me tell you that Karan is massive fan of his (Shoojit) and he’s really looking forward to watching October. He really told me not to mess up his legacy.” After hearing this, Shoojit mentioned, “Karan has said this, so thanks to him. I hope I do not disappoint him.”
