Govinda, the man who could effortlessly pull-off some of the silliest, most bizarre and over-the-top comedic elements back in the 90’s, is finally back with what he does best- COMEDY! Collaborating with another funnyman, Varun Sharma, the uproariously funny Choocha from Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, Govinda will be seen in an out-and-out comedy film almost after a decade. His last film of the genre being the David Dhawan dud, Do Knot Disturb, all the way back in 2009.
Directed by Abhishek Dogra, who helmed the Sonam Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Dolly Ki Doli, the film is called FryDay and is all set to release on the 11th of May, 2018. The tagline of the film reads- “Jhoot Becho”, which gives us a slight glimpse of the fact that it could be a film about con and deceit. Have a look at the poster right here:-
Coming to Govinda, after being the Hero No.1 for almost the enire 90’s, his career took a slump and all his films failed to garner the response they once received before. With the success of films like Bhagam Bhag and Partner, it was proved the man still had in him what it takes to tickle your funny bone.
And after the impressive first look, we are sure Govinda will bring something fresh for his fans again and prove once a star, always a star.
