As is well known to everyone by now, the man factor that was keeping the makers of the Rajinikanth & Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 from releasing their film was the VFX work that had been pending for the better half of a year now. It was due to this that the makers of the film had been famously postponing the release date of the Sci-Fi thriller. But now, it seems like the VFX work is finally coming to an end, because if this tweet by the helmer of 2.0, Shankar is to go by, he has finally received a delivery date from the companies that were responsible for the special effects job on the film. Additionally, he has also tweeted out what seems to be the final release date of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s first film together!

Touted to be the most expensive Indian film till date, 2.0 is reportedly made on a mammoth budget of over 400 crores, the greater part of which, we imagine, must have been spent on the films’ special effects.
Now, only time will tell as to what kind of visual effects the makers have been incorporating for this long.
