Recently Akshay Kumar preponed the release of his movie Padman to January 25th, 2018. This gave a rise to speculation that Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth’s magnum opus, 2.0 which was slated to release on the same date has been pushed to April 2018.
But a few days ago, Raju Mahalingam, the Creative Head of Lyca productions while speaking to a leading website said “As of now, the release date of 2.0 is January 25. No change in that.” With this statement, it became clear that it would be Akshay V/s Akshay this January. But now Akshay Kumar has finally that there will be no clash between 2.0 and Padman in 2018.
While speaking to a leading tabloid, he said “There is a lot of false information that is being circulated over both films releasing on the same day. Why would I clash with my own film? It will either be 2.0 or Padman. While Padman is a film that I have produced, 2.0 belongs to Shankar Rajinikanth and Lyca Productions. They will decide if they want to release the film on Republic Day. If they do, I will postpone Padman and if they don’t, I will go ahead.”
Well, we must say this is a good decision taken by Akshay Kumar as the clash between two movies have caused some big losses to distributors and producers.
So Akshay as an evil badass scientist Dr. Richard or a small town entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu which avatar of Akki do you want to see this January. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
