Shah Rukh Khan always wanted to make it as an action hero in cinema. His thrillers like Anjaam, Darr and Baazigar promised the audience that he would indeed end up being one. But in 1995, DDLJ happened and things were never the same. It has been a while since we saw him in the mode of a menacing and conniving bloke. Well, fans who are wanting to see him in that avatar don’t have to worry as we have Sriram Raghavan, who’s known to make his thrillers with actors who have never attempted the genre before.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker spoke on the possibility of working with SRK in the future. “There are certain actors I think I can approach whenever I am working on something and Shah Rukh is one of those. He’s somebody whom I’d love to work with. For example, one of the very early stories I’d written, was based on a novel on which Baazigar was also based – A Kiss Before Dying. My version of that movie would have been something else. In fact, I worked on the script and later found out that a film had already been made on the idea.”
We sincerely hope this union happens and it happens soon!
