Injuries on film sets have always been a regular thing in B-town. Take, Shah Rukh Khan for instance, who is the second most injured star in the world, with as many as 16 surgeries, Ranveer Singh had a back injury during Lootera and fell off a horse during Bajirao Mastani. And now, the newest actor to join the bandwagon is the Highway star, Alia Bhatt, who injured her shoulder on the sets of her fantasy flick, Brahmastra in Bulgaria. Due to that, she has been advised a complete a 15-day rest and will not resume shooting before the first week of April.
A source was quoted saying, “The team was shooting for a scene when Alia fell and hurt herself. She has injured her right shoulder and arm. There’s a clot on her arm, so she has been advised bed rest. She is in a lot of pain. Her right arm is bandaged and held up in a sling, so she can’t exert it or her shoulder for the next 15 days.”
This Ayan Mukerji-directed magnum-opus is being made in three parts and the first part will hit the celluloid on the 15th of August, 2019. Apart from Alia, the film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
Hope Alia gets well soon and resumes the shoot as we can’t really wait to see how the entire team will push the envelope of the fantasy genre, which sadly isn’t as spectacular and breath-taking as that of our counterparts in the west.
