Bollywood industry was in a state of shock as the Phantom Films, co-headed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, was dissolved. The main reason was Vikas Bahl who was accused of grave sexual harassment by multiple women.
Among all the actors sharing their views on this matter, Arjun Kapoor too shared his thoughts. The actor in a recent interview to a leading daily opened up about the misuse of power in the film industry and said, “When you take the power for granted, when you take this profession for granted, when you take the opposite sex for granted, you feel they will be suppressed and they will keep quiet – I think Phantom will always be an example for all those people who feel they can get away because you can’t get away.”
He further added “I haven’t worked with them in the past which is not relevant anymore because the company doesn’t exist. I think somewhere the company doesn’t exist anymore is because this has been going on behind the scenes for so long,”
Expressing his shock over Phantom Films’ lacking a HR department, the actor said, “I think they are all educated people in the company – me being an 11th fail knows how important an HR is when you set up a company and you have people working in it.”
