Ali Fazal, who made headlines all across in 2017 with the real-life film of the heartwarming tale inspired by a book written by Sharbani Basu, Victoria and Abdul put him on the global map. He became an overnight sensation in the west landing a dream lead role opposite Dame Judi Dench herself. Now the actor has since then been in news for his probable biopic which he signed making him the first Indian actor to sign a lead role in a biopic in the west.
While a lot was silent on the front, it’s now been revealed that the project will take off in 2019 and will have the story set against the backdrop of the Iraqi war. This makes Ali the first Indian actor to star in a biopic in the west. The film is set to go on floors in summer this year and will take over a few months of shooting in parts to complete the project. Currently, the other cast of the film is being locked.
