Akshay Kumar mastered the art of juggling with multiple films way back in 1994, when he had as many as 11 releases in one single year. With 2019, he gears up for five mega-budgeted and anticipated films. His first release would be Anurag Singh’s period drama, Kesari, co-starring Parineeti Chopra, based on the Battle of Saragarhi, which will release on March 21, 2019. His next film is Good News, with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, releasing on July 19.
Just like the last couple of years, he has blocked the Independence Day weekend for this year as well for his another patriotic drama, Mission Mangal. On the occasion of Diwali, he has Housefull 4 for his fans, scheduled for an October 25 release. And then comes Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, on December 19. We all saw the film’s announcement in Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. Now, Kumar is likely to commence work on this cop drama in April.
A source says, “Akshay has to shoot for two films — Mission Mangal and Good News. Once he wraps them up, he’ll begin filming his supercop action-drama, sometime this April. It’s a complete start-to-finish schedule. Rohit and Akshay will beat the record for completing the film in the shortest time.”
