We had reported a few days ago that Luv Ranjan, who’s riding high on the super-success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, will be directing Ranbir Kapoor in his next directorial. We also stated that the film may star Ajay Devgn as well; however, nothing has been confirmed yet. If reports are to be believed, Luv Ranjan might make a film with Saif Ali Khan as well. Given Saif’s fantastic comic timing and Luv’s quirky humor, this shall be a refreshing director-actor Jodi.
Barring the disastrous Humshakals, Saif hasn’t attempted an out-an-out comedy in a long time. Although Happy Ending had some humor, it was just in spurts. Talking about Luv Ranjan, the actor said, “Yes, I have been in talks with Luv Ranjan for a comedy. We haven’t finalised the movie yet. It’s a comedy, in which I play a father. He is still working it out, so it’s too early to say anything. But we are definitely doing it.”
On the work-front, Saif will be seen in Baazaar, Navdeep Singh’s The Hunter, Netflix’s web series, Sacred Games, that’ll have four seasons and possibly Go Goa Gone 2. The actor said, “We have got an idea, but the team is still writing it. We plan to start Go Goa Gone 2 next year. It will also be in that fun, comedy space.”
