Ravi Shankar Alok, who was involved in writing the screenplay of Nana Patekar’s crime thriller, Ab Tak Chappan, committed suicide owing to depression. He resided at the Seven Bungalows area of Andheri, Mumbai and jumped off his building on Wednesday around 2 pm. As per the information received, he was undergoing psychiatric treatment. A neighbor of Ravi said, “We rarely saw Alok. We immediately called an ambulance and the police arrived later. We didn’t know much about the resident except that he was some sort of artist.” The watchman also spoke about the same, “The terrace is usually locked. I don’t know how Alok gained access to the area.”
