BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: What makes Shilpa Shetty Kundra a STAR!

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who celebrates her 43rd birthday today, seems to be aging backwards. To be able to manage to look fit as a fiddle for so long requires you to shed a lot of sweat, and work relentlessly hard, and the actor has been doing that religiously. But we’ll go beyond her physical fitness and talk about her 25 year journey in Hindi Cinema, which has been anything but easy. So let’s delve into the four biggest reasons what makes her a star:-

1. A Killer Debut

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa made a killer debut in Abbas-Mustan’s 1993 thriller, Baazigar. Killer because she rose to instant fame with the film and was also killed (pun intended) in one of the greatest plot twists of all time in a Hindi film. There was no stopping the actress then, as she delivered one hit after another like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Gambler and Insaaf: The Final Justice.

2. Fame In The West

Before Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, and slightly after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it was Shilpa Shetty Kundra who rose to international fame. She participated in the British reality show, Big Brother in 2007, was a victim of racism on one of the episodes, also bravely spoke about one of her past relationships gone kaput, and went on to win the show. It won’t be incorrect to say that 2007 was Shilpa’s year!

3. A Fitness Freak

As we stated above, Shilpa is a fitness freak and likes to stay fit and healthy. She launched a DVD which was a tutorial on Yoga, and also co-wrote a book called ‘The Great Indian Diet’ where she threw light on what to eat and what to skip. People were surprised to know there was a nutritionist hidden inside the actor!

4. A Fine Actor
