1. Mr. India

If you are kid who grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s Anil Kapoor’s Mr. India was the one movie which fascinated you. This was the first time a Hindi movie actually featured a man who could turn invisible. Anil Kapoor’s performances was loved by everyone.

2. Nayak

This movie is by far the most talked about movies of the early 2000’s. It was one of the those movies which was loved by the audience which showcased how a common man becomes a chief minister saves his state from corruption.

3. Slumdog Millionaire

This movie took Anil Kapoor’s career to the next level. This was his first Hollywood movie. His role of a game host in the movie was much loved by the audience. The movie also won many accolades across the globe.

4. Tezaab

Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit’s pairing on the silver screen is still regarded as one of the best till date. This movie showcased the turbulent drama goes to and fro in time to chronicle his loss of innocence, a courtship with Madhuri Dixit and the events that led to their estrangement.

5. Ram Lakhan

Anil Kapoor & Jackie Shroff are by far the coolest heroes you will come across. This is yet another movie which featured Anil Kapoor & Jackie Shroff. It was based on a gang war. Anil & Jackie yet again played brothers who were caught on the either side of this gang war.

When it comes to versatility, Anil Kapoor is on top of the list his portrayal of this feared yet caring gangster took you on a laugh riot. Majnu Bhai really was a treat to watch.

8. Lamhe

This movie actually failed at the box-office but his dual portrayal of heartbroken youth along with another role of grey-haired somber man in his 40’s is irresistible. This was the first time he also shaved his moustache for a role.

9. Kishen Kanhaiya

Anil Kapoor has played the role of twins in many of his films but this one was special as it was the remake of Dilip Kumar’s Ram Aur Shyam.

10. Dil Dhadkne Do

To convince Anil Kapoor to play a father on-screen, Zoya Akhtar literally had to plead with Anil Kapoor as he felt he wasn’t old enough to play the role of a father. Boy did he ace the role of Kamal Mehra with his salt and pepper look.
