Ever since the first look posters of the Akshay Kumar–Rajinikanth–Amy Jackson-starrer 2.0 have surfaced online, the makers have been promising one release date after the other on which they barely have any plans to deliver on, majorly because of the heavy VFX work that is still pending in India’s most expensive film till date.
But turns out, 2.0, a film which was finally going to release on the 27th of April, might just once again see a delay and for all the right reasons!
As per our KK, the director of the super magnum-opus, Shankar, is still not satisfied with whatever version of the film he has in hand right now and strongly believes that the feature presentation needs more work. But, there’s a problem, and that is the producers (LYCA productions) have already announced a release date, which has agitated Shankar beyond belief. As we speak, a cold war (or an out-and-out battle) might just be happening within the director and the producers. But, there are very good chances that the filmmakers might look for a later date.
But, we are of the opinion that the film must seek a later release date, because if the film does hit the screens on the announced release date, it will go up against Avengers: Infinity War, Manikarnika and even Baaghi 2. Given that these films will need a wide release themselves, it will not at all be practical to even consider going up again the biggest movies that the film industry has produced till date.
