Since the day Yash Raj Films announced a slick action thriller in which we will see Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff battle it out as mentor and protégé, we had been on the edge of our seats even though as much as even the first look of the flick is miles away. The film, as is well known, is tentatively titled Hrithik v/s Tiger and is going to be helmed by Siddharth Anand.
But now, it looks like, the film, which was supposed to be an (un)official remake of the Jason Statham-starrer The Mechanic, wouldn’t bear any resemblance to it at all if our Khabri Keeda is to go by.
Yes, you read that right! We were amongst the first ones to reveal that Hritik v/s Tiger was going to follow a somewhat interesting story of that of Statham’s The Mechanic, but, obviously, with a Bollywood twist to it. But now, the film, which was supposed to release on the Republic weekend next year, shifted its release date to October 2019, for which our Khabri Keeda has the answer.
Ever wondered why?
As per KK, it is these very twists and turns that Anand has been constantly adding to his version is pushing its producer Aditya Chopra off the edge and he is hence pushing the shoot of the film indefinitely. Well, obviously, WHO works without a good script?
In the light of all this, Chopra has reportedly decided to scrap the original idea of the storyline and has asked the director to come up with a fresh script, as the two hunks are ALREADY on board.
Well, we do understand what makes Chopra come up with this decision. First, he’s is a businessman. Second, after delivering a power-packed masala entertainer in the form of Tiger Zinda Hai and already has us excited about his biggest production till date, Thugs Of Hindostan, he doesn’t really want to deliver a big budget dud anywhere around it.
So, what’s the new story will be like? Guess we will know pretty soon.
