We had reported exclusively to our readers that Nikkhil Advani was going to pull off a film which will be a first of its kind in Bollywood. The movie, titled Bazaar, reportedly tells the story of the power struggle that goes on in the adrenaline-pumping world of the stock market, similar to Hollywood’s The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Our ever investigative and nosey, Khabri Keeda came in this time to give us news which was rather heart-breaking. Bazaar, along with Advani’s production banner Emmay Entertainment, was going to be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor‘s Balaji Telefilms.
In a recent turn of events, Ekta Kapoor has reportedly backed out from co-producing the project. KK tells us that Ekta Kapoor has no faith in the project (or Nikkhil Advani?) being a commercial success. Bazaar might be lauded by critical acclaims, but that won’t pay the bills or bring in a good reputation at the Box-Office.
So, a commercial success is something that is desperately needed for a sinking Balaji Telefilms. KK also informs us that Ekta Kapoor has sworn to not produce any film with Advani again!
We know that backing out was a business decision. But, is there also a personal angle to this?
