The Housefull franchise is unquestionably one of the biggest franchises in India, albeit with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh leading the pack and new leading ladies joining the brigade in every franchise.
So after the gargantuan commercial success of the first three films in the installment, the fourth film is all set to arrive at the celluloid on Diwali 2019. Recently, it was announced that Bobby Deol would be one of the leading men this time but the curtains were yet to be unveiled as far as the female cast was concerned.
However, it has just been declared that Kriti Sanon would be one of the many heroines of Housefull 4. Sanon, who was supposed to be seen opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor in Mohit Siri’s next, has quit the project to accommodate her dates for this gigantic film.
While talking about the film Kriti shares, “Joining the cast of Housefull 4 is like coming back home. My journey started with Sajid sir in Heropanti. Since then, he has always been there for me and has guided me. I can’t wait to work with him again and that too, in the super-successful Housefull franchise!”
According to sources, Housefull 4 is India’s first reincarnation comedy, with over 75 crores being spent only on the VFX. Now only time will tell who else will be a part of this mega-budgeted venture.
So Sanon now has three diametrically different genres in her repertoire. Her next, Arjun Patiala, with Diljit Dosanjh, is reportedly an unusual rom-com. Panipat, with Ashutosh Gowariker is a period-drama and then Housefull 4, an out-an-out outlandish and madcap entertainer. It would be intriguing to see how the actor fares in each of them, especially after proving her acting chops in last year’s sleeper hit, Bareilly Ki Barfi.
