GENIUS: The trailer of the film makes us ask- Why and What!

Genius, starring Utkarsh Sharma, Ishita Chauhan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, just had its trailer dropped on social media and made us ask- Why and What? There are two stories embedded into one. A love story of the hero and the heroine and a hate story between the hero and the villain, and the portrayal of both the stories looks dated and dismal. Have a look at the trailer right here:-

Apart from some stylized cinematography and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the trailer has no redeeming quality, and the less said about the lead pair, the better. It’s better to watch a young Utkarsh Sharma in Gadar than watching him full-grown up and single-handedly fighting the bad guys and wooing a college girl with outlandish and out-dated one liners. But this is just the tip of the iceberg; we’ll see what Anil Sharma has made on August 24.
