Box Office Report: Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 SLAMS the 150-crore mark!

Ever seen the calm before the storm in recent times? We have two words for you, Tiger Shroff. After a lull period at the movies with A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael, Tiger roared and how. His newest film, Baaghi 2 opened at a staggering 25.10 on Day 1, surpassing the first day collections of this year’s biggest hit so far, Padmaavat. The weekend of this much-awaited sequel ended at an approximate figure of 72 crores, and it’s now the second most successful film of the year, much ahead of PadMan and Raid, starring veterans like Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

On its third Friday, i.e. yesterday, the film collected over 1.50 crore and creeped into the the 150-crore-club, which the biggest of films have failed to earn after spending the kind of amount they have, despite opening to massive numbers and unanimous critical acclaim.

If you ask us, the biggest reason behind the blockbuster success of Baaghi 2 lies in tapping into the leading man’s core strength and perfectly mixing it with a nail-biting and dramatic narrative. Although the lead pair has been criticized for offering soulless and lifeless performances and being too raw to carry a plot as emotional as this, they are all praises for Tiger’s potential to kick the living daylights of the baddies single-handedly and making action so breathtaking and fun.

All geared up for Student of The Year 2 this 23rd November, Tiger is also prepping for the Rambo remake and YRF’s film, in which he will reportedly go up against his childhood idol, Hrithik Roshan, which is all set to release on the 2nd of October, 2019.

Wanna have a surprise before the article ends? Baaghi 3 is in the pipeline too.
