Varun Dhawan unveils his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan unveiled his first wax figure at Madame Tussauds, Hong Kong on 30th January 2018. Varun is the youngest Bollywood star and 4th Indian to join the lineup after Mahatma Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan. Varun’s wax figure will be housed in the World Premier zone of the museum.

Dressed in a cool pair of his own jeans and shirt, the wax figure features Varun’s trademark dancing move. Since it was the first time the Bollywood star had been immortalized in wax, a team of professionals from Madame Tussauds specially traveled to Mumbai to work with Varun Dhawan to capture every intricate detail including his hair, eyes, iconic smile and his six-pack.

Varun Dhawan was ecstatic while being welcomed to unveil his wax figure. Expressing his excitement he said “I am so glad to be here. I would like to say a warm thank you to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and my fans. I have visited Madame Tussauds when I was six and I can’t believe I can be the one to stand next to the figures of various celebrities and world leaders one day”.

Visitors who visit Madame Tussauds for a selfie with Varun will also experience a new interactive dancing experience. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong in partnership with the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) unveiled the new dancing experience that has been made possible with AR (Augmented Reality). Stepping on the dance floor will allow visitors to dance alongside Bollywood dancers. Varun also did not miss the chance to try out the new experience showing off his amazing dancing skills to his fans in Hong Kong.
