Super 30: Hrithik will NOT clash with Kangana at the box office! Here’s why!

Fans of Hrithik Roshan were eagerly waiting to see their favorite superstar in a never-before-seen avatar in the Vikas Bahl-directed Super 30. The film, which is slated to release on Republic Day 2019, was going to lock horns with none other than the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Manikarnika-The Queen Of Jhansi, as the makers of the Krish directorial are eyeing at a Republic Day release as well for their magnum opus. But, it seems like a clash between the two may no longer be on the cards as if a source that has been quoted online is to go by, there’s a very good chance that the makers of Super 30 will release their film at a later date.

The source in question was quoted saying that, “January 25 has suddenly become a very crowded date. With Super 30, Thackeray and now Cheat India and Manikarnika releasing together, all four films will be affected drastically at the box office. Keeping this in mind, the makers of Super 30 have decided on pushing the release of the Hrithik Roshan-starrer to help maximize the reach and eventual business prospects of the film.” When prodded further about details of the new date, the source continues, “Right now talks are still on, once done a new date will be fixed and announced as well. But as of now, Super 30 will not clash at the box office with Thackeray.”

For the uninitiated, apart from the two films that we just mentioned above, two other films, namely the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Balasaheb Thackeray biopic, titled Thackeray and the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Cheat India are also going to hit the cinema screens on the 25th of January next year.

Well, given that 25th of Jan has indeed become a really crowded date, it does seem like postponing the release of Super 30 is indeed in the best interests of its producers.
