Sridevi and Anil Kapoor to reunite for Mr India 2?

Mr India is a cult classic which is still enjoyed by every family member even after 30 years of its release. The movie gained a cult due to its concept of invisibility, which was, obviously, WAY ahead of its time. However, the highlight was the iconic duo of Anil Kapoor and Sridevi which took the film to unimaginable heights.

If reports are to be believed, the sequel to this film, which has been news since time immortal, is speculated to FINALLY go on floors after the Sridevi is done with Mom. If that isn’t exciting news, we don’t know what is. Here’s what we know about it so far.

This time, Anil will not be the centre of attraction. Instead, his son Harshvardhan Kapoor will take the story of Mr India forward with Anil, obviously, still playing a pivotal part.

Shekhar Kapur, the director of the original film, will not be at the helm of this project. Names such as Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of Rang De Basanti fame and Ravi Udyawar, the director of Mom are rumored to be shortlisted.

The movie ended with the death of Mogambo, the evil character played by Late Amrish Puri. Only time will tell if the Mogambo angle will have a continuation or we will get to see a new baddie.
