Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On 2‘ released a day after demonetization took place in India. The film bombed on the Box office as people in the country were already facing money issues. We learned that the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress’ family was keen on shifting the release of the film on a later date, but the makers insisted on sticking to the original date.
A source close to the family said, “Shraddha and her family felt that the film’s prospects would have been better had the film been postponed till the cash flow became stable. According to Shraddha’s family, Riteish and Farhan should have got the hint when nobody made an appearance for the special screening as everyone in Bollywood was busy sorting out their money issues and had no time to go and watch. Now the film has bombed because audiences also didn’t go to watch it.”
The family didn’t want Shraddha’s hit record to be broken by a flop. Shraddha had started her Bollywood career with ‘Love Ka The End’ which flopped big time at the Box Office.
