SANJU: This is how long the Sanjay Dutt biopic is
Sanju is keenly awaited by fans and critics alike. There’s hardly anyone who isn’t excited and gung-ho about watching this Sanjay Dutt biopic, and when you have a brilliant actor like Ranbir Kapoor, half of the battle is already won.
Now, biopics in Bollywood are always lengthy in duration. Both M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag were more than three hours long, and a lot of people felt Sanju would be equally long. However, the duration of the film has been revealed and it’s your choice whether to smile or sulk. The actual length of the film is 2 hours and 35 minutes. Rajkumar Hirani has never made a film longer than two-and-a-half hours, except for 3 idiots, which was almost three hours long.
Well, the question here is- Will Hirani be able to meticulously portray all the facets of Sanjay Dutt’s roller-coaster life in just a span of 155 minutes? Given the fact that he’s also an editor, we are assured the film is in safe hands. The film opens in the cinemas on the 29th of June.
