Salman Khan’s next Bharat to hit the screens on Eid 2019

We had earlier in our breaking reported that Salman Khan is planning to do a movie for his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri‘s production house. Today the makers of the film had an official announcement of the same and even revealed the title and release date of the film. Salman Khan has booked Eid 2019 to release his much-awaited film, titled Bharat.

Bharat is an official adaptation of a South Korean film titled An Ode To My Father. The film will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will be produced by Atul Agnihotri. Salman will begin shooting for the same from April 2018.

Speaking about the film to a leading tabloid Agnihotri said “That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with Bharat. It starts in 1947 and ends in 2000 and is the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.”

He further added “We will be shooting in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi. Prep in every department will be elaborate and is happening even as we speak. Casting will be our main agenda over the next three months and since it’s a character-driven story, we will take actors who fit the parts. It won’t be about getting names together but will be honest in its depiction.”

An Ode To My Father is a story about a man who gets separated from his family during the Korean war and how he manages to reunite with them. The film was one of the highest grossing films in South Korea.

It will be interesting to see which heroine will be star opposite Salman Khan in Bharat. Which heroine do you want to see in the film? Let us know.
