Salman Khan to be the face of BMC’s Anti-open defecation campaign!

It is very unlikely for any actor to be part of an Anti-open defecation campaign but Salman Khan has stepped ahead to take part in this initiative. The Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) has roped in Salman after he complained about people defecating outside his house in Bandstand, Bandra. The ‘Sultan’ star will meet Municipal Commissioner, Ajoy Mehta and plan about the anti-open defecate campaign. The actor has expressed his concern to BMC officials about the health hazards posed by open defecation to the resident of Bandstand.

Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation will also donate five mobile toilets to the BMC to be placed at Bandstand. The foundation has written a letter to BMC saying, “We are in receipt of your letter addressed to Mr Salman Khan requesting him to become a brand ambassador of the BMC to assist the BMC in their cleanliness drives. We are pleased to inform you that Mr Salman Khan will be happy to accept your invitation and through Being Human -the Salman Khan Foundation, will help the BMC in creating awareness about cleanliness.”

Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Kiran Dighavkar who is also supervising the anti-open defecation campaign said, “His presence will enhance the campaign’s reach. We have not chalked out the exact details of the campaign yet. However, we will place mobile toilets at all chronic open defecation spots, including the ones in Bandra. In areas where construction of permanent toilets take time, we are installing mobile toilets.”

We love the way Salman Khan is solving his problems! He doesn’t mind using his stardom to clear civic issues.
