Saif Ali Khan: I haven’t been approached for Race 3

Perhaps one of the main highlights of Abbas-Mustan’s Race film franchise has and always will be Saif Ali Khan. However, we were taken by a (pleasant) surprise when we learned that not Saif, but Salman Khan will be essaying the lead role in the third film of the franchise and will be directed by Remo D’souza this time around.

We had always wondered as to how would Saif feel about this, until now.

Today, at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Chef, he said, “Ramesh (Taurani) told me last year about Race 3 with a new cast and new story. I wish Salman (Khan) all the best. I haven’t been approached.” 

Looks like the Rangoon actor had enough time to digest in this radical change in the plan.

It’s being said that Amitabh Bachchan has also been approached to share screen space with Salman after a gap of 9 YEARS. Will Remo be able to pull off the biggest casting coup till date? Guess only time will tell.
