REVEALED: Yami Gautam’s character in Shahid Kapoor’s next!
Yami Gautam is one of those talented actresses who, we feel, can pull off an intense role as if it’s her alter-ego. Admittedly, the Kaabil actress did not exactly impress us with her last outing, Sarkar 3, but that never really shook off our belief in her, given that she has proven her mettle with her previous filmography.
Also, it is well known that she has been recently roped in to play a pivotal part in Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu, but, no further detail was made available on her character, until now.
If recent reports are to be believed, she will be seen essaying the part of a lawyer and she has begun meeting the real-life ones from remote parts of India to understand her character better.
Speaking of the same, Yami said, “There aren’t many references on screen for my character, but honestly that makes the prep even more exciting. I am working on my dialect and my language and what better source than Hindi literature. I am also looking forward to my prep with Shree and the cast as the best comes out when the entire team collaborates.”
Batti Gul Meter Chaalu, a Shree Narayan Singh directorial and a KriArj Entertainment production, will go on floors on February 9th. Are you excited?
