Ranbir Kapoor while speaking on the sets of the reality show, ‘Dance Plus 2’ where he had gone to promote his forthcoming Diwali realease, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ declined to comment on the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s(MNS) threat to the film that they will not allow it to release in Maharashtra due to the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film.
Asked about this, Ranbir said: “I can speak about my film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Other than this I don’t know anything about other rumours.”
Ranbir also said that he did not wish to comment on anything else apart from the film and the show.
In the past superstars like Aamir, Shahrukh and Salman have faced the ire of Political parties for speaking their mind out on controversial issues. Due to their opinions, their films screenings have been vandalised and have not even been allowed to release in some areas. Considering Ranbir has an upcoming release and is in a delicate stage in his career, it was surely sensible of him to keep silent about the controversy.
