PARMANU: John Abraham & Prernaa Arora’s fight gets uglier

Parmanu, although all set to release on the 25th of May, still continues to be in controversy. After a public spat between John Abraham and KriArj Entertainment’s Prernaa Arora, there were hopes the two would resolve their differences for the larger interest of the film. Alas, their fight just got uglier.

Reportedly, KriArj has failed to make a payment of Rs. 5.65 crores to John Abraham’s production company, due to which Prernaa Arora has been summoned by the Bombay High Court. The production company was supposed to make the payment in two instalments, 2.82 crores on April 27 and 29. Additionally, they were to spend 8.85 lakhs on the publicity of the film and an additional amount of 7.5 crores on the promotions.

Unfortunately, as KriArj failed to abide by all the above requirements, John Abraham had to take legal action, as Parmanu also happens to be his production, under the banner of JA Entertainment. Things began to sour between John and Prernaa when the film was delayed multiple times. Originally planned for December 8, 2017, Parmanu’s release was postponed to January 25, but moved further again. After incessant delays, John Abraham and Prernaa Arora began the blame game which further harmed the film. Now, hopefully the film should be out by May 25.

On the work-front, John Abraham would be seen in Milap Zaveri’s thriller, Satyameva Jayate, scheduled to release on the 15th of August, 2018.
