As we all know, Bollywood’s beloved, Ranveer Singh‘s latest release, titled Befikre was extensively shot in Paris. Ranveer enjoyed the experience and loved spending time in the French capital. And now it seems like even Paris loves Ranveer just as much. As a birthday gift, the 31-year-old actor will be getting his wax statue at Grevin’s Wax Museum.
Ranveer‘s measurements were taken last year when he went to Paris to launch the trailer of his film Befikre. At that time the sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray and the Grévin’s artistic team met with Ranveer Singh and gathered all the data they needed for creating his waxwork. This session was held at the Pullman Tour Eiffel hotel.
Ranveer’s skin, hair, and eye colors were carefully recorded and the hands were moulded. The only problem for the sculptor was to recapture the exact contours of the face as he is dotting his beard look as Allauddin Khilji from Padmavati. Ranveer even donated one of his own outfits to be worn by his statue.
Speaking about the birthday launch of the statue at the Grévin, Ranveer said, “It’s a truly special birthday present and one that will always bring back beautiful memories of Paris. I love all things French, and am grateful to the museum that they have given me a permanent place in wax in their home and their hearts.”
Ranveer will be the second Bollywood star after Shah Rukh Khan to have a wax figure at the Grevin’s Museum.
This will surely be one of the most memorable birthdays for Ranveer Singh.
