CONFIRMED: Parineeti Chopra to star opposite Akshay Kumar in Kesari

After months of speculations, Karan Johar finally announced Kesari starring Akshay Kumar. Ever since then there were speculations about who will star opposite Akshay in the film. Names like Parineeti Chopra and Katrina Kaif were considered for the role.But looks like the makers have finalized Parineeti for the role opposite Akshay Kumar.

A close source of a leading entertainment portal revealed “Both Karan and Akshay have zeroed in on Parineeti Chopra and she has given her nod too. She is very much onboard and will begin prep for the film soon. An official announcement about the same is being planned for sometime in November end. This is a big project for Parineeti and there was no way she could turn it down.”

The movie is directed by Anurag Singh and will be based on The Battle of Saragarhi. Kesari will go on floors by January and it is all set to hit the theatres in Holi 2019.

Interestingly Ajay Devgn and Randeep Hooda are also working on projects with the same topic.

On the work front, Parineeti is lined up with Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.

On the other hand, Akshay will be seen in 2.0, Padman, Gold, and Crack.
