Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Shama starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal has created a lot of buzz in the audience with the 3 mini trailer and the song Radha. But seems like Shah Rukh Khan has failed to create his magic on CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani. Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani is upset with media, especially television producers, for showing a clip of SRK starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal without proper certification and permission.
In the second mini trailer, Anushka is seen handing an ‘indemnity bond’ to Shah Rukh, saying there won’t be any legal consequences if the couple ends up having an intercourse. Pahlaj Nihalani is upset by the word ‘intercourse’ and said “We’ve granted a ‘UA’ to the trailer on condition of deletion of the dialogue about intercourse. But they’ve not come back to us with the deletion. So in principle, the trailer has not been passed yet,”
According to a source, the ‘mini-trails’ were always meant for digital consumption and never for the television audience. Speaking about this he said “We [CBFC] cannot stop content on the internet. But we can and will stop the broadcast of the uncensored footage on television. The trailer has been picked up from the internet and is being aired on various news channels. This is completely against the law and we plan to take the strictest action against the channels which have aired the censored content from Imtiaz Ali’s film.”
Jab Harry Met Sejal is set to release on August 4.
