Padmaavat: When Ranveer Singh almost ATTACKED a crew member!

Padmaavat has been garnering a lot of praises and it has clearly brought its antagonist, Ranveer Singh aka Alauddin Khilji for his unabashed, unhinged act as the devil sultan. But, even though the Sultan was as evil as it gets, the character itself has a kind of charm that you can’t get over so easily and soon.

Recently, we did observe Singh posting throwback pictures of himself as Alauddin from his Padmaavat days.

Take a look at them right here.

But, apart from getting the look right, he also got the devil’s thought process right too, and NO, that is not good news, especially when possibly a crew member almost got attacked by Singh post-shoot.

Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, Singh narrated a very scary incident from the shooting days that could have had him JAILED!

He said, “I really thought I was going crazy. I felt like I was losing my marbles. A really strange incident happened off camera, on the set. Somebody made a mistake and I turned towards that person and I was gonna attack, physically assault that person as Alauddin Khilji. I was like, ‘Wait, wait, wait, a second. This is not f***ing real. This sh** is going deep down.’ Because suddenly my instinctive reaction was that of the character’s and not mine.”

To which, he added, “The thing was I had isolated myself during the shooting process as well. I was going to the set in the morning, playing Alauddin all day and then sleeping whenever I slept. And going and being Alauddin again. Doing that for enough days on end, too much of it for too long, I was suddenly generating ill-feelings, harbouring negative and evil thoughts.”

WHOA!

On the work front, Singh is currently shooting for Gully Boy, which, we hope, will help him get out of the evil sultan mode.
