OMG! Pakeezah actress Geeta Kapoor dies ALONE!

It’s clearly a grim moment for one and all in Bollywood as Geeta Kapoor, a cinematic legend who has acted in over 100 films including Meena Kumari’s evergreen classic, Pakeezah, breathed her last this morning at SRV Hospital in Mumbai.

While confirming the piece of news, former CBFC board member Ashoke Pandit, who was taking care of Geeta ji’s expenses along with Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani, released a statement saying, “Geeta ji finally passed away, we tried our level best to care for her, but she finally gave up. She kept waiting for her children for last one full year, but no one came to meet her,”

For the uninitiated, Geeta ji was abandoned by her children over a year ago, but even then, Geeta Kapoor waiting to see them until the very end.

To announce the same, Pandit even tweeted out the following:

Standing besides the dead body of Actress #GeetaKapoor 57 who was abandoned by her kids in #SRVHospital a year back breathed her last at a suburban Old age home today morning.
