Apart from Deepika Padukone, another reason that has been making us wait for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati is Ranveer Singh’s (potentially controversial) character of the Delhi-based Sultan Allauddin Khilji. Now, there’s some really interesting news about Ranveer’s character and we can’t wait to share it with you.
As per reports, Bhansali will explore Alauddin’s fascinating attraction to his slave-general Malik Kafur, so that goes without saying that Ranveer might be seen batting both ways in the film.

Earlier, Ranveer had said on No Filter Neha that he has no problems with playing a bisexual character if the script demands so, but the script must be really special for him. Guess Ranveer just landed one. Also, Ranveer hinted at a very interesting side that Allaudin had. Was he hinting at this?
Reportedly, Neerja actor Jim Sarbh will be playing the role of the slave-general in the film. But, there’s no confirmation on it as yet.
If these reports are true, Padmavati might just be the most controversial Sanjay Leela Bhansali film till date. Will SLB’s gamble pay off? Let’s wait and watch.
