The grapevine is abuzz with rumours that the makers of the film, ‘Kaabil’ have copied the Netflix’s TV show ‘Daredevil’. A leading tabloid reported this morning that the makers of the TV show are planning to sue the director, Sanjay Gupta for plagiarizing one of their originals.
A source quoted, “Protagonists of both the productions are blind while even the action sequences look the same. The colour schemes are also similar. This has upset Netflix and they will be taking legal action against Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft Productions and Sanjay Gupta’s White Feature Films.”
However, a source close to ‘Kaabil’ clarified and said, “It’s a preposterous comparison because Hrithik is not a superhero in Kaabil. His character is that of a blind man who does what he does best. In daredevil, the protagonist fights 30 people at a time. None of that is happening in Kaabil. If they sue us, we will definitely fight back.”
Ironically, yesterday Shah Rukh Khan cracked a 3 year deal with Netflix and now they are suing the film that is about to clash with SRK’s Raees. Nicely done!
