Justice Prevails as Nayak makes a comeback!

So, it’s official, the sequel to Anil Kapoor 2001 starrer Nayak, has been announced and is set to go on floors this year.

What was the critically acclaimed 2001 political drama about?

Shivaji Rao (Anil Kapoor) plays a journalist who interviewed the incumbent Chief Minister of Maharashtra (Amrish Puri). Rao takes on the challenge of being a Chief Minister of the state for a day. Shivaji Rao sets out on a journey to take on corrupt officials as he assumes the throne once again. He is seen balancing his professional life as a CM and personal life while tending to his parents and his lady love (Rani Mukherjee).

Eros International has gone on record and has announced that Shivaji Rao will be seen on his seat again. The Nayak team will begin shooting the film this year. Taran Adarsh took to twitter and announced the same, too.
