John Abraham gives his precious time to visually impaired girls!

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we heard of something extremely heart-touching. A beauty pageant is being held especially for the visually-impaired girls on March 8 and the most handsome actor John Abraham will be the chief guest for the event.

It is jointly organized by the National Association for the Blind (NAB) and an NGO named Blind’s Dream founded by Samir Mansuri, who himself is visually impaired by birth.

When inviting John as the chief guest, Samir said, “John Abraham is known for his philanthropy. We could not have thought of anybody else as the special guest. He has given us an hour’s time and has agreed to crown the winner.”

Further, Samir adds, “He was bowled over with the idea of a beauty pageant for visually impaired. He felt that it will give loads of confidence to the girls and that it’s a good concept.”

What makes this beauty pageant look more different is that the girls aged 18-30 are super achievers. One of them is Stacey Rodrigues who has already published a book of poetry and has two painting exhibitions to her credit. Jyoti Malik, too is a computer wizard who has designed and launched her own website.

This pageant not only has the idea of a beauty pageant but till also provide a stage for these super ladies to showcase their marvelous talents.

Not only John Abraham being a chief guest but even Bhagyashree has been roped in to be a judge for the evening, she said, “I always make time for anything that is done for a good cause. Many people prefer to donate money to charity, which is fair enough for people who are extremely busy. But I feel one should be there and encourage people who are in need of that. Moreover, this event is for women and I believe one should always be there to support them. Also, this is a pageant for visually impaired girls, who are enterprising. One of them is a computer wizard, another is a physiotherapist — the point is, they are doing the best of their lives, which is commendable and needs to be encouraged. I don’t mind just standing along the aisles and clapping for them.”

John Abraham’s support for a beautiful cause like this surely makes us adore him more!
