We were amongst the first ones to report that John Abraham will be bringing one of nation’s greatest covert missions at the time to the big screen, which was the Pokhran-II Nuclear Test.
Now, just about yesterday, Abraham has commenced shooting for the same. The film is titled “Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran”
Talking about the film, Abraham said “The road to Pokhran has been paved. It’s time to embark on a journey to revisit the mission that changed the place of India on the world map & turning the course modern India’s position in the world as a strong Nuclear state.”
The film will take the audience back to the time when India pulled off the greatest nuclear espionage the world witnessed in 1998 with the help of a bunch of army men, scientists, engineers and satellite experts.
The film will feature Abraham and Diana Penty in lead roles, along with Boman Irani who plays a very pivotal role. The writers of the film are the people who wrote Neerja. The music of the film is helmed by Sachin-Jigar. On top of that, a formidable team of technicians has been formed to make the film a pleasing cinematic experience.
Producers Prerna Arora and Arjun Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment said “For us, this is not just a film, It’s a dedication from our side to all our soldiers of our country from all the forces. Also to all the scientists to dedicate their lives to the country. We are just sharing their story with the world and we are very proud of it. It’s a film that every fellow Indian will surely be proud of.”
The film is slated to release on December 8th.
