Is THIS actress going to play Sridevi in the NTR biopic?

The makers of the much-awaited NTR biopic did indeed surprise all of us when they announced that none other than our Sulu, Vidya Balan will be a part of the most awaited film that is about to come out of Tollywood. But, we had been waiting to know as to who will step into the shoes of the legendary late Sridevi, who, as is well known, has done as many as 14 blockbuster films together and once upon a time, NTR and Sridevi were the most sought-after pair in Tollywood!

Just when we had begun to wonder as to who will step into the shoes of the late legend, we came across an online report which claimed that Aiyaary star Rakul Preet Singh will reportedly be the person who can step into the shoes of the lady who is known to be the institution of acting! However, as we write this, the talks are apparently in their nascent stages and given that although Rakul Preet is reportedly excited about the part, she has a plethora of films in her hand already, so, there might be a chance of a date clash and she may not step into Sridevi’s shoes.

A source was quoted online saying that, “Things are still in the nascent stage and it’s premature to comment.”

However, if Rakul Preet does end up bagging the part of Sridevi, she must be ready for the responsibilities that will come with it. As is well known to all, the ability to emote that came naturally to Sridevi is, to date, unparalleled.

So, Rakul, if you want to get into the shoes of Sri, get ready to pull your sock up really high!
