In the recent past, no other debutant has probably faced as many roadblocks while filming their Bollywood debut project as Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh and if the latest updates on Kedarnath, which is her debut film, are to go by, the film might just land up in the cold storage and NEVER really release!
For all those who had been patiently waiting for Sara to kick-start, her first film had a sigh of relief after it was officially announced that Abhishek Kapoor of Kai Po Che fame is taking his next directorial, Kedarnath, on floors with its lead pair, Sara, and Sushant Singh Rajput.
But, as fate would probably have it, all is NOT AT ALL well between the producers of the film, and, now the matter has allegedly boiled down KriArj Entertainment, the co-producers of Kedarnath, deciding on taking its director/co-producer Abhishek Kapoor to court and settling the dispute, as it was alleged that Kapoor had decided to be the solo producer on this one after kicking out KriArj and T-Series of the picture, both literally and figuratively.
As of now, the case seems to only conclude in two ways:
- T-Series and KriArj might gain full ownership of the film, a decision which Abhishek Kapoor may not like at all and hence probably drop out of the project.
- If the case concludes in Kapoor’s favor, it is possible that no distributor might want to partner up with Guy In The Sky Pictures (Kapoor’s production house) after all the kind of news pieces that have surfaced online. So, even though the film might get completed (Which looks doubtful though, as Kapoor allegedly has a lack of discipline at work.), it might still not get a release.
So, although we cannot say as to exactly how this particular case might progress and what might happen to Sara’s career after this episode, it surely seems like her near future is surely not looking bright at all.
